The New Mexico Osteopathic Political Action Committee (NMOPAC) supports the political efforts of the New Mexico Osteopathic Medical Association (NMOMA) at the Round House in Santa Fe each year. Our efforts are closely aligned with the political goals of BCOM, so we work in concert for the advancement of the school , students and the profession. As an osteopathic advocate, your time and resources are limited. Through our grass roots and lobbying efforts, the NMOPAC and BCOM political arrangement will lead and direct efforts to elect and re-elect pro-physician legislators, promote legislation that improves graduate medical education in NM and works toward legislation that enhances medical school loan repayment for our students. Over the past legislative sessions both NMOPAC and BCOM have been successful in many of these goals, but our work is not complete. As everyone knows, BCOM has matriculated its fourth class and the class of 2020 will soon graduate into residencies for further training. The future of Osteopathic medicine is important to us all and with the first graduating class entering their residency, it is important, we preserve an osteopathic governance, support our student’s graduate medical education and enhance the osteopathic profession here in New Mexico for future generations.

Will you join me in supporting our efforts to insure our students have an unwavering future in osteopathic medicine in this great "Land of Enchantment"?

Your contributions and support to NMOPAC's will work directly at the legislative level to uphold the principles and beliefs to which osteopathic medicine is devoted. We are committed to continue our efforts at the "round house" and statewide to promote our school, students and profession.
